Valentine Serenade

December 8, 2024

Holiday Spectacular Review

by Frank Strafaci

On Sunday, December 8th, 2024, Opera at Florham presented a Holiday Spectacular at St. Margaret of Scotland Church in Morristown. In short, it was SPECTACULAR!

Artistic Director and pianist, Mary Pinto, assembled a program illuminated by stellar artists. Mary’s piano skills and strength provided the support and beautiful artistic environment for the entire performance.

Abby Brodnick, Soprano, displayed her velvety delicate and, at times, ethereal voice to the enchantment of all. Mitchell Hernandez, Tenor, carried the music of this Holiday theme with clarity and talented execution. Lizzie Kandziolka, Soprano, and a senior at Villa Walsh Academy, sang with a rich yet warm voice that projected a talent way beyond her years.

Gabriel Anker, violinist, accompanied the singers and delivered touching solos to the audience’s delight. The St. Margaret of Scotland Choir captured the beauty of the Holiday Season with lively singing, talent and grace. Yes, the afternoon presentation was truly SPECTACULAR!

Join us on Sunday, February 9, 2025 for our beloved Valentine Serenade at 2:00 pm at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ!
